  Sometimes owls swallow their prey entirely. Well, they don't do this with the bigger animals but the smaller animals like small mice, baby snakes are swollen whole.  Excluding giant sea creatures like blue whales and giant squid, ostriches have the largest eyes of any land animal. Their eyes are 2 inches in diameter which is bigger than their brain.  Birds are the closest living animal along with crocodiles which are believed to be directly descended from dinosaurs.  Due to the lack of a stable delivering service, in ancient Greece pigeons were used to deliver the results of the Olympic games.  There are more than 18,000 bird species in the world and the number of total birds ranges from 50 billion to 430 billion.  Ravens are great at mimicking human noises.   At birth, a panda is smaller than most mice and weighs around 4 ounces.  Pigs can not look down so if they could ever fly, they would not even notice it.  The blue whale is the largest creature that ever lived on earth. Even larger than dinosaurs and the weight of 1 blue whale is equivalent to around 2,500 people.  If a bear chases you, run as fast as it can because if it catches you it's gonna eat you alive rather than killing you first like a tiger.   The comparison between Lions and Tigers has always been a hot topic to discuss. People simply cannot stop arguing about who is the strongest land predator in the animal Kingdom. Well, there is the ending line,"tigers are bigger than lions". Which is true but bigger doesn't always mean better.  Dogs are undoubtedly human's greatest and closest friends. From cuddling in the bed to pulling sledge or guarding there is a dog breed for everyone's needs in all shapes and sizes. When you come back from work, tired and frustrated by the world and the infinite number of projects by your boss and colleagues, you see your dog welcoming you with a wagging tail. He/she gives you some sniffs, jumps all around you and gives you some not so gentle hugs.
