5.Rottweiler: Rottweiler is a medium to large size dog breed who were used for guarding and herding but now are mostly used for search and rescue dogs, guard dogs and police dogs. They have a strong and masculant body which makes them a perfect candidate for guarding. In the ancient Roman Era they were indeed used for guarding dogs for their masters. Rottweilers are strong, energetic and a loyal companion and a guardian for its master and other family members. But they can be aggressive towards strangers, this is why early socialization is crucial for this breed.
